Job Description

  • Greet guests upon arrival and departure with a warm and friendly demeanour. Assist with loading and unloading luggage from vehicles.
  • Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles, ensuring that all vehicles are handled with care and stored securely.
  • Transport luggage to and from guest rooms promptly and securely. Ensure luggage is tagged and stored appropriately when necessary.
  • Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and directions. Assist with any guest inquiries and offer solutions to any concerns.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lobby and entrance areas. Ensure that all areas are free from clutter and hazards.
  • Work closely with the front desk, concierge, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including driving regulations and handling of guest belongings. Report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
  • Accommodate special requests from guests, such as arranging transportation, providing amenities, or assisting with event setups.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle tags, guest requests, and other relevant information.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training in hospitality or customer service is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in a luxury hotel environment, is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to drive a variety of vehicles, including automatic and manual transmissions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with grace.
  • Knowledge of Nairobi and local attractions is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond for guests.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is an asset.

Job Description

  • Auditing, reconciling and analyzing the hotel daily revenues by ensuring night audits are done
  • Carry out month end procedures related to revenue collections and reconciliations
  • supervising and assisting in taking physical inventories of all food and beverage
  • checking merchandize received daily to determine that it conforms to weight, trim and count specifications

Qualifications

  • More than three years in a similar field
  • Bachelor degree in Finance/Hospitality or related field
  • CPA Section 1
  • Knowledge in Sun System, Opera Cloud, Materials Control & Symphony

Food & Beverage Supervisor

Passionate about guest interaction, food and beverage? As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will lead your team to create unforgettable Food & Beverage experiences for our guests.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Assist in leading, mentoring and training the Food & Beverage Operations team
  • Supervise and delegate duties;
  • Ensure brand standards are maintained
  • Liaise with kitchen to ensure the highest standard of food quality and visual appeal
  • Effectively handle guest complaints.
  • Assist with rostering, taking into consideration forecast, wage cost, staff requests etc.
  • Ensure staffing levels are adequate for the next service period, making adjustments to the roster where necessary
  • Ensure beverage cost is maintained to budget Report any shortages in equipment to the manager
  • Conduct staff training including induction, product knowledge
  • Counsel staff if not performing to the Outlet's standards
  • Attend and actively participate in necessary meetings
  • Be able to take charge of the outlet/area in the absence of the Manager
  • Daily stock ordering

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Diploma in Hospitality Management
  • 1-2 years experience in a 4* or 5* Hotel
  • Service focused personality is essential and a passion for everything food and beverage
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities and the ability to lead by example
