- Greet guests upon arrival and departure with a warm and friendly demeanour. Assist with loading and unloading luggage from vehicles.
- Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles, ensuring that all vehicles are handled with care and stored securely.
- Transport luggage to and from guest rooms promptly and securely. Ensure luggage is tagged and stored appropriately when necessary.
- Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and directions. Assist with any guest inquiries and offer solutions to any concerns.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lobby and entrance areas. Ensure that all areas are free from clutter and hazards.
- Work closely with the front desk, concierge, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including driving regulations and handling of guest belongings. Report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
- Accommodate special requests from guests, such as arranging transportation, providing amenities, or assisting with event setups.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle tags, guest requests, and other relevant information.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training in hospitality or customer service is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in a luxury hotel environment, is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to drive a variety of vehicles, including automatic and manual transmissions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with grace.
- Knowledge of Nairobi and local attractions is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond for guests.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
